ULV Cold Fogging .04 Cents per Sq Ft
The ULV cold fogging machine uses a water based solution – ours is antimicrobial (anti bacterial and anti viral) and is safe and non toxic to humans or pets. As the name suggests, the solution is not heated, but misted using airflow so the solution is atomized – the machine will produce droplets of a micron size normally between 10 to 60 microns. These droplets are small enough to be seen as a ‘fog’, but not as a dry smoke like thermal fogging. The fog created by a cold fogger will still sanitize the air as it will hang in the air for a period of time, but it will then drop onto surfaces leaving a moist layer. The layer left can be compared to light condensation. This moisture dries quickly without drips, even on plastic and glass surfaces, but stays in contact with the surface long enough to be effective against the contamination. The solution works by breaking down the virus on contact and can leave a barrier to further infections for a period of time. As the solution is atomized it can be dispersed over long distances – up to ceilings and over desks, furniture – getting to areas not possible by other means. Large areas inside can be covered quickly and effectively. The areas need to be empty of people when its being applied – to safeguard in case of allergies to atomized solutions, not because our solution is toxic to us once applied and settled.
Normally a period of 2 hours is sufficient for people to then return. ULV cold fogging is extremely effective for decontamination as the antimicrobial cleaning solution stays in touch with the surfaces for a period of time long enough to be effective against bacteria and viruses. The tiny droplet size allows the solution to be readily absorbed into tiny crevices in surfaces. It also leaves the surface uninhabitable for viruses and bacteria for up to 24 hours
